What is METx?
The Greek word metis meant a quality that combined wisdom and cunning.
Metis in greek mythology was a mythical oceanid numph, and one of the daughters of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys. Metis is notable for helping a young Zeus free his siblings from his father Cronus' belly by supplying him with a special drug. After Zeus became king, he and Metis were married, and she bore him a daughter, Athena, the goddess of wisdom.
Why METx?
Metx was recently established when the two schedulers, Justin Harris and Daniel Bruns, saw a need for specialise scheduling services in the project management space. Mature, successful projects need the input of experienced schedulers to facilitate project success. But schedulers are difficult to come by, challenging to train and, depending on the stage or phase of the project, have fluctuating workloads. So why not utilise a ‘scheduling as a service’ model? Instead of hiring a full-time scheduler for a part-time role, just order what you need.
